PLANET GRAHAM: A Novel
In many ways, Graham is an average, everyday, 10-year-old boy. He loves puppies, peanut butter 'n jelly sandwiches, and jumping in puddles. He also lives alone in his own apartment, shows up on time every day for his 9-to-5 office job, and suffers many of the familiar struggles of living in a complicated and confusing world.
In his quest to find his place in a society run by adults, Graham steps out of his comfort zone by getting a taste of nightlife, befriending a couple grown-ups, and even attempting some online dating. All of his efforts in assimilating, however, lead to his being apprehended by local authorities, recruited by the federal government for a dangerous mission, and accidentally falling in with a cabal of revolutionaries that are attempting to take over the world in a peaceful coup.
As he navigates the world of so-called maturity, it begins to dawn on him that the people that run the planet don’t have much more of a handle on things than kids. They’re only better at pretending.
